Tips on Traveling in South America, Caribbean, Europe and the USA

This post is not yet finished, but I thought it would be helpful to post it now in case you are traveling soon.

South America & the Caribbean
- you will probably be required to pay an airport or tourist tax before leaving the country, so make sure you have some of the local currency left in your wallet to pay that or a credit card

Europe
- carry-on baggage: you can carry up to 1 liter of liquids, but they must be in separate containers of up to 100ml (so, you could have several 100ml containers). At least one airline I looked at also required that all of the containers fit into one plastic 1 liter bag.

Paris, France:
- Eiffel Tower: Be aware that if you want to get tickets to the top of the tower you must book well in advance. I tried to book tickets a week beforehand and there were none available.

USA
- carry-on baggage: you may only take very small amounts of liquids. Be sure to check your airline for the requirements.
